Wanting to volunteer abroad has been a topic Vicki and I have seriously been considering. Today I had a meeting with GIVE, an organization that travels abroad building schools, educating, rescuing animals, all while having fun. It really made the idea of volunteering abroad more than just an idea; I discovered it’s something that I could actually do!
Not many people know that there are still homeless families living in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hurricane Katrina was so destructive that even twelve years later, families are still struggling.
I plan on traveling to New Orleans with my best friend this summer to help reconstruction efforts. Additionally, we wish to someday travel to South East Asia with GIVE to construct schools for children as well has assist in animal conservation.
Although nothing is set in stone, Vicki and I really want to make a difference. This fundraising campaign will help fund future volunteer projects we might end up pursuing. Additional information can be found on our GoFundMe page
I know most people probably will not read this, and if you do, it’s highly unlikely you’ll donate. However if you do donate, even $1, just know that not only are Vicki and I thankful, the families suffering in Louisiana are thankful. The children who aren’t getting an education are thankful. The animals being mistreated are thankful.
Please share this with your friends and family. Any donation helps.
Thanks. :)
